Last Sunday of the month and the academy boys get busy setting-up for By 2 Blues at TOIT brew pub. Students guided by the faculty members spend the morning setting up the back-line(Stage) at the venue.

The Gear: Qsc K12 monitors, Avid S3L console, Radial Di box, Shure SM57s/SM58’s, AKG-c411 contact mic. More Gear Available.

On the stage are four Qsc K12 stage monitors, sending a mix to a specific band member of this blues/folk trio featuring a guest performer on bass. The two guitars are being fed to the Avid S3L console via Radial Di boxes. The Harmonica which is wired to a micro cube is miked with a an SM57. The strong percussive hits of the Gatam is being caught by an AKG c411 contact microphone, while the Cajon, the rhythmic backbone of this band is caught faithfully by another trusty Shure SM57. Two SM58’s are dedicated to the vocalists, as well as, doubling as mics for the kazoo and a second harmonica.

The Show: An evening of intimate acoustic blues with a strong groove center rocking away into the night, as the weekend came to a close on a bitter-sweet blue note cuing the week ahead.
