Audio Academy was part of the recently concluded Palm Expo 2019, an exposition for pro audio, lighting and AV integration systems.
The Indian Recording Arts Academy (IRAA) Awards that honors excellence in audio recording and mixing was also part of the two-day event. At this event, Niranjan Shivram, co-founder and CTO of Audio Academy was awarded for the Best Audio Education Programme.
Speaking about this tremendous recognition from the industry, Niranjan says, “This award wouldn’t have been possible if it were not for the CEO and co-founder, Vauhini Venugopal, Audio Academy’s highly talented and skilled faculty, Gautham Pattani and Ashwin Shetty and our various visiting faculty and our dedicated students. When Audio Academy was being set up, the vision was to bring rigor to training in the audio industry. A meticulous approach to working could only be inculcated by mentoring prospective audio professionals who would bring in this new wave of professionalism. This award is a wonderful recognition of our efforts in this regard.”
The IRAA Awards is one of the few that honor the professionals with technical expertise, going beyond popular categories in song and music production. Felicitating professionals in the technical fields of music recording and engineering in India, the IRAA Awards recognize people for their contributions to the music industry, especially those who are transforming it with their courage to take risks, creativity and innovation.
The awards also make special note of the talent and reputation of recording studios and engineers, specifically looking for a readiness to adopt new technology, trends and proven expertise in the use of new methods. An honor that is recognized as a mark of respect from the industry, the IRAA awards reflects the awardee’s credibility in the industry and has become an eagerly looked forward to the annual event.
Audio Academy thanks its faculty, students and well-wishers for this award!
